What changes do you hope will come out of this?

Crisis has a way of stripping back what doesn’t matter and revealing to us what does. Yes, we need to mourn our losses but we also have to learn how to live in this new reality. We all have options for how we choose to react: We can either be angry about what we’ve lost, or we can appreciate what we have more deeply. I wonder if, at the end of this, will we see a permanent shift in how we spend our time?

Decluttering for clarity of mind (and house)

The Winter months tend to bring an influx of stuff. My theory is that clearing off a table top might just help give us a little clarity in the rest of our lives. Here’s my approach to clearing space in my home. What is your favorite way to get rid of extraneous stuff? If you have a favorite thrift store, charity, or selling site, I would love to hear about it!

Welcome!

As a realtor, you not only invite me into your home, but also into your life - because renting, buying or selling a home is about so much more than making a wise real estate investment. The decision making process really comes down to identifying what you value in your life today and how a location or spatial change can support those priorities and dreams.

My conversations with clients tend to weave together the common threads of desiring a deeper connection to community, family, and the environment, so I thought it would be fun to explore these concepts in a very different kind of real estate newsletter. A Very Different Kind of Real Estate Newsletter

This newsletter is more like a lifestyle magazine for the Bay Area. It includes upcoming events, seasonal recipes, family travel ideas, suggestions for ways to live more gently on the Earth, and even some gardening tips. But really, it’s about taking moments to appreciate what we have, enjoy this beautiful place we call home, consciously build the futures we want, and become the best possible versions of ourselves. And there’s some real estate-related news and interviews too.

If you’re already on my mailing list, expect to get your issue soon! If not - would you like to be kept up-to-date on local events and get some fun new recipes to try? Email me at MW@meredithwiedeman.com

And let me know what you would like to see. What kinds of events excite you? What is your favorite family getaway? What is your go-to potluck recipe? I invite you to contribute your ideas and help me build a community around everything we love about where we live.
